WAVA Awards (World Association Visual Arts)
The World Association of Visual Arts is an independent, nonprofit, non-governmental, non-political organization formed under the voluntary gathering of art professionals and art lovers for the cause of protection and synchronization of the interests of its members (private or legal persons) and maintaining activities for affirmation and promotion of the true values of visual arts. It operates worldwide and collaborates with individuals, organizations, associations, foundations, and institutions.

8th Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair 2025 is honored to host, during its 8th edition, the presentation of the WAVA Awards, granted by the World Association of Visual Arts (WAVA).
The World Association of Visual Arts (WAVA) is an independent, nonprofit, non-governmental, and non-political organization founded through the voluntary gathering of art professionals and art lovers. Its mission is the protection and synchronization of the interests of its members—whether individuals or legal entities—and the affirmation and promotion of the true and enduring values of visual arts. Operating on a global scale, WAVA collaborates with individuals, organizations, associations, foundations, and institutions worldwide.
The WAVA Awards celebrate outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the visual arts, fostering artistic expression, education, and cultural dialogue. The award ceremony will be held during the events of the fair, further highlighting Thessaloniki as an international cultural hub.
