The 5th edition of the Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair (20-23/05/2021), are happy to announce that the Guest of Honor will be 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner and Ambassador of the UN, Mrs. Nadia Murad, after an invitation and a positive response, from the Responsible International Relations Mrs. Irini Vandaraki.

Nadia Murad has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 and is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. She was tortured and raped by ISIS. She became a UN ambassador and fought hard to ensure that the persecution of the Yezidi in 2014 was recognized as genocide. Amal Alamundin-Clooney represented her at the trial. She is representing women who have been sexually abused by the Islamic State (ISIS). She is a public supporter of the Yezidi community in Iraq, a religious minority against whom the Islamic State militants have launched a genocide campaign and she has been awarded the Sakharov Prize in 2016.
